Thrice Greatest Hermes  by G.R.S. Mead

Publishing: 1949 John M. Watkins Second Edition

3-Volume Set

This is the second edition of G.R.S. Mead’s well-known translation and collection of Hermetic writings. It brings together core texts like the Corpus Hermeticum, The Perfect Sermon (also called the Asclepius), excerpts from Stobaeus, and various fragments and references found in early Christian and classical sources.

Hermes Trismegistus—meaning “Hermes the Thrice-Great”—is a legendary figure who blends the Greek god Hermes with the Egyptian god Thoth. He’s said to be the author of the Hermetica, a wide mix of ancient and medieval writings that became the foundation for Hermeticism, a major influence on Western mystical and philosophical traditions.
