Astrology Theologized The Spiritual Hermeneutics of Astrology and Holy Writ Being A Treatise jpon the Influence of The Stars on Man and On the Art of Ruling Them by The Law of Grace by Anna Bonus Kingsford
Publication: 1886 George Redway first edition thus
A very scarce copy of Kingsford’s Astrology Theologized containing a translation of an astrological/Rosicrucian treatise by Valentin Weigel (1533-1588) originally published in 1649. This 1886 redway edition has often been linked to the later mythology of “Anna Sprengel” the elusive adept said to have authorized W. Wynn Westcott’s founding of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The shared motto Sapiens Dominabitur Astris (“The wise shall rule the stars”) which Westcott attributed to Anna Sprengel whose supposed philosophy closely mirrored that of Anna Kingsford. Kingsfords death in 1888 is believed to have prompted Westcott’s swift formation of his magical Order. "Westcott could not have been unaware of the connection between the motto and his 'Anna', for he was given a copy of this edition by Redway immediately upon its publication."
