Light On The Path + Through The Gates Of Gold By Mabel Collins
1949 Theosophical University Press
One of the more esteemed works in the canon of Theosophical literature. The work is said to be one of great antiquity, the text of which was dictated by the astral figure of Master Hilarion (an adept described by Blavatsky as belonging "to the Brotherhood of our Masters") to Mabel Collins (1851-1927) a young member of the London Lodge of the Theosophical Society who amongst other things had collaborated with Madame Blavatsky in editing the Theosophical journal "Lucifer." Collins "received" the text between October and December 1884 and it was subsequently published in January 1885. The book comprised three parts: Part I, the rules (21, expanded to 30 in later editions), Part II, elucidations or reflections on each rule, Part III, an essay on Karma. This book also contains “Through the Gates of Gold” a work originally published by Collins in the ‘The Path’ in March 1887.
