There is also a small facing swastika of the First US Edition but it is not quite as prominent as this First and Second U.K Editions which were each limited to 1500 copies. The symbol was obviously not associated with anything nefarious and was intended by Steiner to represent the symbols original essence; that of the four petaled lotus, or cosmological directions. The swastika symbol has been used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality throughout many ancient cultures including Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, and Indian religions.

This second edition was released in April of 1910, only 5 months after the first edition (November 1909). This edition was slightly reviews and also included Rudolf Steiners Preface which the First Edition did not. Other differences include the gilt cross in pentagram symbol on the back board, and red lettered title page.

Condition: publishers brown cloth boards with title and swastika design too spine and upper board, the book has some condition issues, primarily it has a library withdraw stamp to the front free endpaper, followed by a couple of smaller library stamps to the limitation page and behind the portrait page, there are minor tears along the lower corners and two smaller tears along the outer edge of the spine, spine edges with damage, some some overall wear but the book Is still bright, the binding is firm, and the pages are clean besides the mentioned stamps, overall in Good condition only
