The Soul & How it Fond Me by Edward Maitland

Publication:1877 Privately published by the author in London

A scarce first edition with only 7 institutional holdings worldwide. Edward Maitland, an English humanitarian writer and occultist, joined the Theosophical Society around 1883. However, his experiences with Madame Blavatsky led him to leave the 'London Lodge.' In May 1884, in collaboration with Mrs. Kingsford, he founded the Hermetic Society. This society had a mystic rather than an occult character, claiming no abnormal powers and relying on no Mahatmas for guidance.

Written by the insightful spiritualist and author Edward Maitland, “The Soul and How It Found Me” offers a captivating exploration of the soul’s journey and the profound nature of reality. Merging the wisdom of both Western and Eastern spiritual traditions, the book unfolds a unique and compelling perspective on the intricate relationship between individuals and the universe. Rich with insight and profound reflections, “The Soul and How It Found Me” is an essential read for anyone drawn to the depths of spirituality and the mysteries of metaphysics.
