The first English translation of the 1839 de Blocquel edition of “Treasure of the Old Man of the Pyramids” (originally “Trésor Du Vieillard des Pyramides”) is a grimoire that describes and illustrates a series of talismans attributed to an “old man of the pyramids.” This grimoire is believed to be of great antiquity, having been originally discovered in the Great Mosque of Cairo. It has passed through various hands in manuscript form before finally being published. This edition includes an introduction and postscript by the original editors, the Van Meulsten Brothers, as well as a new introduction by the translator of the work.
