Condition: beautifully decorated cloth boards featuring ornate blind stamping, along with gilt titles on the spine and covers, all edges gilt, floral endpapers in each volume. Each volume includes a bookplate on the blank leaf following the endpaper and an inscription on the first blank leaf, Vol 2 contains a steel engraving with a brown stain that permeates from the front to the back of the leaf (pages 787-788), general foxing on some of the plates, books are firmly bound and overall in Very Good condition.
