Kingsland was an English engineer & scientist, a follower of the teachings of H.P. Blavatsky and for a time president of the Blavatsky Lodge of the Theosophical Society in London. Kingsland primarily focused on theosophical esoteric writings, but he also explored fiction with mystical themes. “The Mystic Quest” is an allegorical tale of spiritual rebirth that follows two incarnations of the same soul—one in ancient Egypt and one in modern times—on a journey toward enlightenment. The novel examines concepts like reincarnation, karma, and the nature of the soul.
