A second edition published only months after the first. This work on Atlantis is by James Lewis Thomas Chalmers Spence (1874–1955), a Scottish journalist, folklorist, and prolific writer specializing in the occult and folklore. Spence had a deep fascination with the legendary land of Atlantis and authored several books on the topic, Spence builds upon earlier interpretations, particularly those of Ignatius Donnelly, but he also introduces his own analysis.
