Half craft red leather binding over beautiful marbled boards and endpapers, five raised bands with gilt decoration. Loosely inserted is a card from the publisher, with the printed message "Your own book in seasonable dress comes to you with every good wish for Christmas and the New Year from your publishers in the City of London", and is signed by three members of the Hodder-Williams family and John Attenborough. This copy was for Mildred Robertson Nicoll, one of the editors of the book.
In this work Steiner explores disciplined thinking can become a path to deeper self-knowledge and spiritual freedom.
