A beautiful and rare set in antique style binding quarter calf over marbled boards, gilt ruling to spines with black gilt title labels. Both volumes are near fine and in beautiful condition. At the time of this description we locate no complete copies for sale. The very few [single volume books] we have located in past sales were all in poor condition. 

A rare biographical account of Henry Cornelius Agrippa (1486-1535) Renaissance polymath, physician, scholar and occult philosopher. An extensive work of research by Henry Morley (1822-1894 English academic and author, one of the earliest professors of English litarature of his time. Agrippa was a court secretary to Charles V, physician to Louise of Savoy, theologian to the Catholic Church, military entrepreneur in Spain & Italy, and acknowledged expert on occultism and philosopher. Agrippa was best known for his Vanity of the Sciences and Arts (1526) and Three Books Concerning Occult Philosophy (1531-33). 

Note: OCLC lists only a few complete copies [with both volumes]. We find one auction record from 2021 of a complete set in poor condition that sold for four hundred dollars.
