Transcendental Magic by Eliphas Levi

A.E. Waite's translation o Eliphas Levi's notable "Transcendental Magic." Dr. R. A. Gilbert observes that Waite had been unable to provide a fully annotated translation of the text in his original publication of the work in 1896 , but did so for the 1923 edition (of which this is a reprint) "The annotations are extensive, for Waite had worked on them sporadically for seven years."
Condition: This old book with dust jacket is in good condition. This is a hardcover book with 515 pages including some illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. There is a bookplate on the first end paper. The last end paper has many notes written in ink and there are pencil underlines and notes in only a few pages (which could be erased if desired). OThe book is undated but appears to be circa 1950. The dust jacket is in great condition with some general edgewear and one pea sized chip (more like edgewear).
