The Heathen Invasion by Claude Bragdon

Publication: 1911 The Manas Press First Edition signed by the author on titles page

Bragdon was a prolific author, delving into various esoteric subjects that captivated the minds of many. His academic foundation in architecture provided him with a distinctive and refreshing viewpoint on the principles of theosophy. Notably, he championed an organic Gothic architectural style, which he argued resonated more harmoniously with the “natural order” of the universe. In contrast to the rigid and formal aesthetic of Beaux-Arts architecture, which emerged during the classical revival, Bragdon’s vision embraced a fluidity and connection to nature. Today, much of Bragdon's work would now be considered the early steps of the modern study of sacred geometry.
