Four-volume set of this important alchemical and occult collection assembled by Paul and Mary Mellon and later donated to Yale University Library. Volumes I–II published in 1968, with Volumes III–IV following in 1977, all housed in matching compartmented slipcases. Compiled in part to parallel the working library and research interests of Carl Jung. Extensive bibliographical descriptions, scholarly annotations, and cross-referenced notes throughout, including observations connected to Jung’s studies and interpretations. Printed books catalogued by Ian MacPhail; manuscripts described by Lawrence Witten and Richard Pachella.
Condition: Set with Vols. I–II showing light darkening to spine and minor chipping to slipcase labels; bindings firm and contents clean throughout. Overall condition: Vols. III–IV Near Fine; Vols. I–II Very Good.
