The Private Diary of Dr. John Dee
Publication: 1968 AMS Press, Inc; New York
Reprint of the original published by Camden Society in 1842 which contained two important documents relating to Dr. John Dee. The first is his private diary fragments, from 1554 - 1601, that were written in the margins of Almanacs that were housed in the Ashmolean Museum, the second is a Catalogue of his Library of Manuscripts, made by Dee before the plunder of his house at Mortlake.
Condition: Original blue cloth boards, gilt title and original publisher to spine, the boards have some surface smudging which could be cleaned with some diligence, all pages are clean with no markings, overall in Very Good condition
Quite scarce, only one other '68 edition listed online for $1000, with oonly one additional sales record to reference. All things considered I've priced this to the best of my ability.
