Francis Bacon and His Secret Society by Mrs. Henry Pott
Publication: 1911 John Howell San Francisco; Second Revised Edition
First published in 1891, this is the second revised American edition of this unusual study of Francis Bacon, and particularly his connections with Rosicrucianism and Freemasonry. Curiously the author quotes the "Supreme Magus of the [Societas] Rosicruciana in Anglia," (who at the time was W. Wynn Westcott) to the effect that "the Rosicrucian and Masonic Orders are parts of One and the same Society," and also embraces the idea that Bacon was a founder of Speculative Masonry.
