The essays first appeared in the theosophical periodical “Lucifer” under the title “How to attain Knowledge of the Higher Worlds”.
There were just 1500 copies printed of this first edition. Although they were likewise limited to 1500 copies, the second and third editions appear on the market far more frequently than this first impression
