A complete set of Swedenborg's magnum opus and one of the foundational texts of modern mystical Christianity.Swedenborg presents a detailed spiritual exegesis of Genesis and Exodus; interpreting Scripture through his doctrine of correspondences. He believed that the literal text contains deeper spiritual meanings.

First published in the eighteenth century, this twelve-volume set was issued by the Swedenborg Federation in 1970 and is surprisingly difficult to locate, especially complete in the original dust jackets featuring the Michelangelo design and preserved in such fine condition. A few jackets show minor closed tears, dust jacket of vol 8 with a closed tear to the rear panel tape reinforced on the verso (this is the only detail keeping me from listing this set as Fine), the volumes appear unread, remaining clean, bright, and exceptionally well preserved.
