Quite rare in a First Edition. This work contains the texts of various letters written by Bacon, his speeches in Parliament, the Star- Chamber, King's Bench, etc., "Certain Considerations touching the Plantation in Ireland," and ending with Bacon's "A Confession of the Faith."
Condition: missing frontispiece and both end papers, advertisement page is still present, the title page has restored professionally along the edges (unaffected) the subsequent three leafs with chipping along the edges (text unaffected), pg 277 small puncture on outer edge, pg 283 with tear (no loss to page), all remaining pages are clean and in wonderful condition, the book is in the original binding, albeit it does have some issues; the front board has been re-attached, with some breakage along the rear spine, despite this the binding is till tight, age considered- overall in Very Good condition RARE!
