These editions were often removed from their original box and dust jacket. The present edition still contains both. Although the jacket snd the box do have their flaws they have done their job in preserving the book in wonderful condition. 32 total illustrations (8 in color and 24 black and white plates)
Condition: Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine, pictorial cover, the jacket with some closed tears that have been professionally restored and the jacket with one flap partially torn, the box corners have been sealed professionally using Japanese paper- rear of the box with substantial staining and the cover with some soiling , although the box and jacket have some issues they have done their job in preserving the book in wonderful condition. Overall the jacket and box are in good condition only but the book itself in Very Good+ condition
