The text of the first English translation of Geber's works, from 1678, with the illustrations that accompanied the Latin edition of 1545."De Alchemia” and the other works of the Geber corpus were of the greatest influence on alchemy. The first publication in 1541 contains some of the essential alchemical woks including; the Summa Perfectionis, Roger Bacon's Speculum Alchemiae (the original text from which the 1597 English "Mirror of Alchemy" edition was made), and also the first printing of the famous "Smaragdine Table" of Hermes Trismegistus. The present editions, published by Weiser, was limited to 999 copies.
