This book delves into the Shakespeare and Francis Bacon mystery. The author Gallup was at one point employed as a cryptographer during First World War and used her expertise and knowledge in the field to dig deep into Bacon cipher mystery. The attempt was to "prove" the plays of Shakespeare were really those of Francis Bacon. Shakespeare being but a character, and a veil in the entire production. According to the author , by using Bacon's own cipher and carefully observing a special type setting one can read dozens of hidden messages from Bacon.
