This is an exact facsimile of the original 1822 edition it is stated as "..absolutely correct, and perfect copy of the authentic, genuine and guaranteed integral edition of the most excessively rare, almost unknown and unprocurable original work published in London in the year of 1822."
It is purported to be based upon the translation of an ancient Egyptian manuscript which came into the possession of, and was used by, Napoleon Bonaparte. Contains writings by Balaspis claiming 'by the command of Hermes Trismegistus"
Condition: Original black texture cloth with gilt title and borders decorated with scarabs, eagles and Napoleon emblem, foldout plate not present, only slight shelf ware, some pages with slight toning, overall the book is in wonderful condition.
