Although books signed by Joseph Fort Newton appear on the market from time-to-time; an offering of this particular work, considered his magnum opus, is a rare occurrence.
Condition: Original blue boards, gold gilt title, bright copy, binding tight, stamp on first blank flyleaf, embossed private library stamp, hinges professionally strengthened using nearly invisible Japanese paper- thus binding firm, pages clean, else all pages clean with no markings, overall Very Good+ - signed by Newton on front free end paper, with inscription of a 'Mary W. Blanchard' to pastedown which also appears to be in Newtons hand.
