The Equinox Complete 10-Volume Set by Aleister Crowley
1972 First Printing Published by Samuel Weiser #445 of 515
10 volume complete set (10" x 7") White decorated cloth with Equinox coat of arms and bannerheads on front board, and gilt titles etc. Numerous color and black and white illustrations throughout. This is a complete set of the 1972 Weiser edition that was limited to only 515 numbered sets, of which this is #445. The release of this edition in 1972 was a milestone in occult publishing. It was not only the first US edition, but also brought back into print one of the major works of occult scholarship for the first time anywhere in nearly sixty years, thus making it available to a whole new audience. It includes the first publication of an especially-written Introduction by Israel Regardie. First printings of this Weiser edition are very difficult to find complete or in Very Good condition.
Condition: The spine of these volumes has some toning as is typical with these white cloth editions, the toning is even throughout. The told gilt on the spine and decorative color covers are still bright, the binding is tight on all volumes, absolutely no interior marks. The books have some minor rubbing to the back of the board which is more prominent on the back of volume 1 and front of volume 10 since these are the volumes that sit at the end of the set. Overall this is a beautiful set of this increasingly hard to get edition. Overall Very Good
