Hall wrote more than a hundred books and pamphlets on esoteric subjects. “Initiates of the Flame” is a work on mystical symbolism that he described as his “first literary effort.” In the book, he explores the mystery of fire and its significance in initiation, alchemy, ancient Egyptian initiates, Rosicrucianism, and the Knights of the Grail. The third edition of the book includes several full-page illustrations, one of which is in color, by Augustus Knapp. These illustrations were not present in the first two editions.
Condition: In publisher’s quarter black cloth binding, patterned paper boards with gilt title to spine and altar symbol to cover. There is soiling to upper portion of the cover which permeates to the preceding prelim, otherwise the book is clean. Near Fine Condition
