The Kabbalah Unveiled by MacGregor Mathers

Publication Year: 1971 Samuel Weiser; New York Reprint

The first esoteric work to be published by author MacGregor Mathers, one of the founders of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the fraternity in which Aleister Crowley got his early magical training, and which had such a profound influence on his own occult career. The Kabbalah Unveiled is a translation of the Kabbala Denudata of Knorr von Rosenroth (1677) which contained translations into Latin of parts of the Zohar and other Kabbalistic texts. Mathers' Introduction is still held by many to be one of the best and most cogent written on the subject.
