The Lost Language of Symbolism by Harold Bayley
Publishing: 1952 Barnes & Noble Inc Third Printing
A comprehensive publishing on the meaning of esoteric symbolism. Two volumes with explanations on the history of the symbolism, watermarks, and printers' marks, showing how the papermakers and printers of early Europe incorporated the rich imagery of mystical traditions such as Gnosticism, Masonry, and other secret sects and societies into the paper on which books were printed.
Condition: Publishers cloth boards still in the original dust jackets and slipcase, the dust jackets are fully in tact with soiling to the spine, the slipcase has loss to the corners, the books themselves are in Fine condition. I have photographed the books with and without the dust jackets.
