Described by the publisher: "This book deals with ritual in all its forms - its purposes, in war, in the arts (as in music) , in freemasonry, and in esoteric science. It endeavors to explain the principles that lie behind ritual, its psychological implications and effects, and inner mechanisms". The author was an enigmatic figure, apparently he had served as an artillery officer in the British Army, then settled in Australia, where he practised as a professional astrologer, and was a frequent contributor to various Theosophical journals, as well as the author of a number of books, including "Outline of Astro-Psychology" and "Outline of Metaphysics".
Condition: Original sky blue cloth decorated gold gilt title on spine and front board, corners and spine edge bumped, fly leaf has previous owners inscription, publishers stamp (as intended?) all pages clean with no markings. Overall Very Good+ condition.
