The Stone of Destiny by Grove Donner Signed by Manly P. Hall who also provides the forward.
Publication: 1938 Printed in Los Angeles
This curious work of esoteric fiction was published by a 'Grove Donner' with a forward by Manly P. Hall. I believe Grove Donner to have been an early pseudonym of Manly P. Hall but have been unable to verify independently. Several things have led me to conclude this to have been the work of Manly P. Hall: There are no other publications or information attributed to an author by the name of Grove Donner, at the time of publication (1938) Hall was publishing independently through Philosophical Research Society. This book matches those publications aesthetically, and typographically, but lacks any verifiable publication information. It notes only a vague "Printed in Los Angeles" on the title page, and copyright page states simply "by Grove Donner". The imprint on the spine reads only "1938". This could simply be an author who knew Hall and chose to remain in rather obscurity for this single publication. But stylistically the writing is too similar to that of Hall's. At the very least the hand of his editorship was at work. No other copies available at the time of this listing. The only other signed copy that I have come across remains in my personal collection. RARE!
