This important work on esoteric religion and Christian theosophy. Arthur Versluis (born 1959) Professor of Religious Studies in the College of Arts & Letters at Michigan State University. Versluis specializes in esoteric religion, and in particular, Christian theosophy (the tradition of esoteric Christianity that begins with Jacob Bohme (1575-1624), discussed in his trilogy of books on that theme Theosophia (1994), Wisdoms Children: A Christian Esoteric Tradition (1999), and Wisdoms Book: The Sophia Anthology (2000). Versluis is author of numerous other works of esoteric nature.
