Hermes Trismegistus (from Ancient Greek: Ἑρμῆς ὁ Τρισμέγιστος, “Hermes the Thrice-Greatest”) is a legendary Hellenistic figure who originated as a syncretic combination of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth. He is understood to be the author of the Hermetica, a diverse series of ancient and medieval texts that are the basis of various widespread philosophical systems known as Hermeticism.
Condition: Original orange boards with gold gilt title on spine, dust jackets present each protected with mylar covering. Jackets have some foxing on spine area, volume jacket small chipping along top of spine, the books themselves are in wonderful condition. All pages are clean with no markings. Book plate neatly laid on first blank board of volumes 1 and 2 (as pictured) Overall Very Good+ condition.
