A scarce first edition of the initial volume of a two-part series titled Steps of the Way by Ida Mingle, an American author and founder of the New Thought movement known as the School of Liveable Christianity. Mingle was the private secretary to Charles Fillmore, the founder of “Unity Movement" which emerged from 1900's Trancendentalism. Mingle played an instrumental role in the Unity movement. Mingle played an influential role in the Unity movement, writing articles for the monthly Unity magazine, conducting lectures and classes, and publishing courses. In 1919, she moved to Chicago to continue her work, initially under the First Unity School of Chicago and later founded her own school, the School of Livable Christianity, after leaving the organization.

Condition: Publishers green cloth boards, gilt title to spine and all seeing eye device to cover, dust jacket is protected in mylar with significant chip to upper spine, the book is tightly bound, bright and very well preserved - however, the major flaw is that the first 18 pages contain pen underlining. This flaw has been considered in the price.
