Projective Ornament by Claude Bragdon

Publication: 1915 The Manas Press First Edition

Signed by Claude Bragdon

Projective Ornament is perhaps Claude Bragdons most influential, if not effective, work in driving home his theory of "organic style gothic architecture". He cites'The Fourth Dimension' by C.H. Hinton as being very influential to the present work. Bragdon wrote a numerous books on esoteric topics, his academic achievements in architecture provide for a unique and refreshing approach to theosophy.."urging an organic Gothic style which he believed consistent with "natural order" - over the "arranged" Beaux-Arts architecture of the classical revival. Much of Bragdon's work would now be considered the early steps of the modern study of sacred geometry."
