This is the first U.K. Edition by Rider & Co (London) which was published simultaneously by Aries Press in Chicago the same year. Little is known of the author of the work, Fr. Wittemans, other than that he was said to be a "Member of the Belgian Senate" and the "International Rosicrucian Council." What is of particular interest about the book is that it includes a surprisingly good "contributed" chapter on the Golden Dawn, that appears to have been written by someone with inside knowledge of the Order. Although unconfirmed, some believe the author of the section was non other than Israel Regardie.
Condition: Original red boards with gilt device of rose cross to front board, gilt title to spine, slight soiling to front and rear pastedown, the scarce dust jacket is present and in great condition, overall Very Good+
